Photo 15: Moon ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/320 F-Stop: 10 Society typically associates the moon with night. It's the most illuminating thing in the sky during our darker hours. So when I spy it in the sky in the morning or dusk, it gives me some cognitive dissonance. "Why the hell am I seeing this right now?" Turns out, the moon has more influence over the tides than the night time. Anyhow, look at this photo!
Ironically, I have the sun to thank for this almost overly-saturated photo. A cloudless day paved way for a pretty blinding sunset. Luckily for me, the backdrop I wanted faced the rays, rather than hid behind them. I'm a fan of the oranges and browns, as well as that completely dominate blue. Not a fan of the telephone wires and fences, but midtown, Detroit still holds my heart. I'm finding myself more attracted to photos with such a dominating sky. Something that hangs over whatever landscape sits below makes everything look so small. It's my hope, that someday, we all get a better understanding of how small we really are. That narcissism seems to dominate our views of the world too often. Just changing the world over here!
