Photo 27: Rose ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/100 F-Stop: 1/8 I stumbled across this road along a stroll down the lake walk. Someone had embedded the stem of a rose in the crevice of a picnic table and I knew what I had to do. Looking at the photo, I do have some regrets. I didn't need a shutter speed that quick, in order to capture such a static image. The flower wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
I did bless my Facebook friends with this photo as my new cover art for my profile. I just appreciate the contrast, and judging by the almost 10 likes I got on my unveiling, other people did as well. I think the birds-eye perspective did me well when looking at how I wanted to take this photo. The colors contrasted well together. For being another walk down the lake, I'm surprised by the variability I find on my ganders. Not everything I find looks as adorable as this, but it's worth walking at least once a week. Plus, how can you beat Lake Superior in the summer. My fellow Duluthian's would agree, it's not easy to find something that matches the sights and ambiance of the setting.
